Scanners colours wrong.. Are they? How do you know!

  • Silverfast scanner driver may not help if your monitor/printer colours are incorrect. If the monitor is OK then it will be easy to make adjustments to your scanner with the existing drivers.
  • We suggest you first calibrate your monitor then see what if anything you need to adjust on the scanner. To get the correct output consider calibrating your printer also.
  • This way you avoid adding yet another driver to your system and the possible implications adding software sometimes brings. We have not yet seen a correctly adjusted monitor (before calibration) however many modern scanners do a fantastic job right out of the box! If your scanner is so old that you can't get a current driver then Silverfast may be the answer, here again you need to consider the price of modern scanners (much lower) and factor in they will come with a warranty.
