Sanyo Z3000 was Editors' Choice 2010
So we guess the Z4000 will be the same?
"..You'll be blown away once you feed it true HD programs. You really can't go wrong, everyone loved the Z5 and they will love this model even more.."
-- HCC HomeCinemaCentral
"..The Sanyo Z4000 is a tough new competitor that establishes the latest benchmark in 1080p price/performance. It offers excellent image quality, a host of features, and very few flaws, all for an industry-leading rock bottom price. If you have been waiting for prices to drop before stepping up to 1080p, the Z4000 is the product you've been waiting for.."
"..This is a dramatic competitive move indeed. It will surely undermine the viability of the industry's 1080p price structure, to the consternation of competitors and dealers alike. But for the consumer it's great news....welcome to high performance 1080p at prices you've never seen before.."

"..
Well, as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait. The patient among us have been rewarded with the SANYO PLV-Z4000 , SANYO's 1080p LCD Home Theater projector. Boasting full 1080p resolution, a new **Epson LCD chipset for deeper blacks and a super-quiet fan, the PLV-Z4000 is a home theater enthusiast's dream.."
"..Let's face it; I love the SANYO PLV-Z series projectors and the Z4000 has done nothing to change that opinion. I still have a PLV-Z4, and I've coveted the Z5 since our original review. But the Z4000 is really the one I've been waiting for. When fed high quality 1080p sources, the projector really shines with blinding whites and blacks that approach the depth of rival projectors costing 3 to 4 times as much. I never knew how good LCD's contrast could be until seeing/testing the Z4000.."
"..Yes, full HD 1080p sources are few and far between, but there'll be more eventually. The projector is not the absolute best we have seen at de-interlacing and upconverting standard definition sources to its native panel resolution, but in actual viewing of standard def material, we were not overly bothered by any lack of detail or interlacing artifacts. In fact, the Z4000's treatment of standard definition material was eminently watchable, and better than what we have seen on many other displays. .. the answer is easy. The Z4000 rules.."
Both the Epson & Sanyo 1080 HD models have far better lens shift (so you don't need to use keystone compensation) and zoom than the Mitsubishi HC7000. Better warranty too (3 years+lamp)
