Solid ink prints very high quality even on normal paper (unlike most ink jet printers) the running costs are comparable to laser printers (often cheaper per page because of less consumable parts). Phasers (solid ink) are also more environmentally friendly as there are no toner cartridges and no toner particles in the are that have been of concern |review| solid ink printers can handle the thickest paper in the class. Phasers are often used for wedding stationary etc. Because less heat is used with solid ink the printers don't tend to scrunch up envelopes like some laser printers. We have all the running costs, including the hidden consumables for printers so if you're printing a lot the right decision could save a fortune.

Can Laser printers can cause cancer? Media reports are talking about printers used in small/inefficiently ventilated spaces on a regular basis. For example a small office with the printers close to you printing most of the time. Not casual or home use. Fuji-Xerox Phaser printers DO NOT USE TONER so there are no small toner particles in the air.If you check inside your printer and see a thin of toner (wipe it with your finger) this is a sign of the toner particles in question. In a well ventilated office there is nothing to worry about even if you're doing a lot of printing.
