  • Prices are on our cart. Below is a sample (can vary, some items are free i.e. lamps) that will give you an overview of delivery charges based on weight and destination.

*Please change the default delivery, we will change it to the correct lowest price option for the weight of your order if you overlook this you thereby agree we may adjust the charge to your card. Delivery Times: Air normally 1-2 working days. Road is normally 3-7 working days depending on location. NSW,VIC, SA, ACT are the fastest, NT, TAS, WA & Far north QLD will take longer. *Weight is "Class" for shipping the actual weight may vary. We reserve the right to contact you with a quotation. Courier charges do not include insurance this is added to total with any surcharges. There may be a re-delivery fee if you are not home when the courier calls so it's often best to deliver to your work. You will be sent tracking details ASAP.

1 Points to note when ordering:

  • Software support is carried out by the software manufacturer or their agents not AIM (us).
  • You will be sent a tracking number during office hours with the details to track the process of your order.
  • We don't charge your card unless the goods are on their way to you unless you've ordered something custom built or rare lamp etc.
  • We do our best to send your order as fast and as cost effectively as possible however courier delays (such as you not being home) are outside our control.
    If you are not home there may be a re-delivery fee
    , sometimes best to have goods delivered to your work address.
  • We make no guarantees on behalf of courier companies.
  • Late delivery will not be accepted as a reason to cancel your order.
  • If your order is urgent please contact us for other delivery options.
  • We don't post items via normal post as there is no tracking , yes it's cheaper but not worth the risk.
  • Over 99% of deliveries are FAST and on time!

  • E. & O.E. Errors and Omissions Exempted. This means (for example) we may not be able to supply items that have been entered incorrectly into our data base. This has never happened yet, unlike most others we have real stock of the top sellers. [But it happens all the time elsewhere click for example]
  • There may be an error in the specifications. All specifications are subject to change without notice.
  • If you can't confirm the requirement in question and it's a condition of your purchase, please contact us first.
  • No card surcharge is applied to the actual delivery cost.
  • A credit card charge is applied to some items. You can avoid this small percentage (if applicable) by paying by Direct Deposit all details and rates here there is a small delivery insurance charge that applies to all purchases.
  • Example of stock indicator.
    OK means normally no supply problems, you should have your order in a few days or less depending on the time of day you order and where it's being delivered to.
  • If you order in the afternoon you may miss the couriers so please order early.
  • We keep the top sellers in our warehouse.
  • If we say it's in stock and for some reason we can't supply within a few days (depending on the time of day you place order etc.) we'll give you a free gift like Photo paper, MP3 player etc. (our choice) upon request.
  • Note: It's rare but stock can change before you order yet not be updated on the web page due to multi-processing delays or a simple human error. (We will let you know if there is a problem that causes a long delay, in this case you have the option not to proceed with the order)
  • If your order is urgent please contact us before you order just to be safe. We may need to choose a more expensive direct courier or arrange some other solution.
  • The time to speak up if you have any concerns about your order is before you place it! |see this suggestion| We have nothing to hide and we're happy to put things in writing.
  • We may email you our special offers, (privacy statement) this happens just a few times a year. Should you not wish to receive such information simply click on the remove option in the first email.

Just ask people who paid for a car etc. on eBay or people who placed an order with buy.com.au before they went broke. We make a big deal of this because it's depressing to spend (sometimes lots of..) time with you, giving you great advice only to hear "Thanks for all that info, now can you match this price!" or "I'll run it past the wife.." (Code for I'm looking for a cheaper price) especially when often we are often the lowest GENUINE price anyway!

Many computer shops advertise things like printers below or at cost.

Why? So you'll think their PC range must be cheap too!

That's why they often don't have them. You can't easily compare one PC with another because of this or that board, processor, memory, software etc. They know if you see the first thing is a cheap printer etc. you must think they are a low cost PC shop. Not necessarily so!

Delivery (See FAQ info at top of page too)

Delivery charges are subject to review and you will be contacted if you live in a rural area, have ordered excess weight for your selection or need delivery in a district that incurs extra charges for your approval.

1 While every effort is taken to deliver on-time we don't guarantee it.

1 Over 99% of deliveries are fast, often faster than you're expecting! Occasionally we have a delivery problem, for example you being out for the same 5 min the courier called or some confusion in the address. In this case every effort will be made to redeliver ASAP. If you change the address a redirection charge may be applied. Think about a delivery to your work where possible.

1 Late delivery is never a reason for a refund unless
agreed by us in writing before you place the order.

We're not trying to scare you, look at our feedback and you'll see how amased most people are with our speed (because we hold stock of the top sellers). We will do our best however we don't fly the planes or drive the vans so the actual delivery is out of our control!

    1 Courier charges are non refundable

    Most city deliveries are within 3 days (often next day) country can take longer, we aim for 99.9% to be delivered within one week however we do not guarantee a time as many factors are out of our direct control.

    1 For Urgent deliveries, a surcharge will apply, please call with your requirements and we will provide a quotation.

    If you choose the wrong delivery method (or none, see top of this page..) we will fix it for you before processing, this is a condition of sale. For example you choose a camera delivery when you've purchased a colour laser printer. We could use cheaper couriers but it's not worth the pain so we only use:
    Air Road or Australian Air Express

    International Stock

    International Stock 

    As the name suggests it must come from another country so there is normally an extra 1-3 week delay unless the stock is already in transit.

  • This type of order is normally for rare or custom made items else we'd already have them in our warehouse.
    Note special orders such as this can not be cancelled.

Warranties

Returns Policy AND General purchase conditions.

    1 Warranties are offered are by the Australian importer or manufacturers representative, Not AIM. Please check with the manufacturer for special conditions such as damage caused by misuse and the actual warranty time. Note projector lamp warranties can be time in days or hours whichever comes first.

    1 AIM will not be responsible for disputes between you and the manufacturer however we will do all we can to resolve any dispute in your favor.

    1 The actual term of the warranty offered if displayed on our web page(s) is our understanding of the offer and is subject to change without notice, again please check with the manufacture should you have any concern's in this area.Most brands use "authorised service agents" (we can give you the details) the service agent carries out repairs, not AIM.

    1 Normally you will be given contact details of the CLOSEST service agent (Most brands are subbing out the service side) they will normally handle all repairs and often arrange for "DOA" replacements.

    1 FREE items have no warranty unless you can arrange it between yourself and the manufacturer.


Returns

Because many people purchase a product without first trying it, we have a safeguard  "Returns Policy"
which will allow you to return or exchange some products.

1 ONLY by prior arrangement in writing

    1 Products covered by our policy will be mentioned on the page. It will also be detailed on your invoice.

    1 If within 14 days of delivery you wish to return the product (in as new condition, with all packaging) you must pay the freight charge.

    1 Only standard software (drivers etc.) may be returned once opened, software such as Photoshop, Omnipage, PhotoImpact and TypeReader that is not normally in the box as part of the manufactures bundle cannot be returned opened or not.

    1 There is a 25% restocking fee payable on all returns unless exchanging/upgrading for the same type of unit for example CD printer A for CD printer B, Scanner A for B.

    1 Printers - You will be charged for a set of consumables unless the printer is unused and consumables have not been installed/opened.

    1 Only Items which state on our web page that they are covered by this policy are covered.

    1 There is no refund on courier/postage and insurance charges.

    1 Our returns policy is for Australia only

    1 You MUST get an RA (Return Authorisation) number before returning goods for credit or exchange please ring or e-mail us to obtain a RA number,  You cannot return the goods without one.

    1 Please write the RA number on the outside of the box in a way that does not damage the box
    (i.e. removable sticky label).

    1 A dispute between you and the manufacturer or service agent is not an acceptable reason to ask to return goods. AIM will help you resolve the dispute where possible.

    1 Consumables can not be returned if opened or after 7 days from purchase. And only then if you've purchased the wrong part/model and wish to re-purchase the correct items.

    1 Projector Lamps can not be returned at all.

    1 Software can not be returned at all.

    1 Late delivery is not an acceptable reason to ask to return goods, AIM never guarantees a time as its outside our direct control (see details) for example, often people are not home when the courier arrives etc.

    1 If you wish to return a product because you believe it does not perform as advertised you can ask the manufacturer for an RA (Return Authorisation) number, in this case and they agree we are happy to take back the goods as we sell in good faith.

    1 Projectors can only be returned by prior arrangement in writing, we may look at cases where in good faith the client has purchased the wrong projector for his needs, often this is when you ignore our advice in the first place. Restocking and courier charges will apply.

     


Don't assume a product will perform a special function you require, please ask us.

If it's not in writing we didn't say it!

Please ask for an e-mail confirmation (send us an e-mail) of your requirements, for everyone's protection.

We've had clients ring and abuse us "You said it would, had.." only to call back and apologise after reading the e-mail.

We know our products and never make false promises so we'd rather any important points for you be confirmed in writing.

  • We want you to be happy with your purchase, we believe we give accurate information however if you wish you'd chosen another model there is a solution.
    This only applies to models that have this symbol - Note starting date of offer.

Term of offer

1 If within 5 working days after delivery (or 5 hours projector lamp use, whichever comes first) you decide the Projector and/or Sound System is not suitable for your requirements you may swap it for another model that we have on our web site (subject to availability) and pay or have refunded the difference.

1 We strongly recommend that you ask us if your Projector/Speaker choice should be suitable for your requirements if you have any doubts before you make the purchase.

Please note:

    1 You must notify us by e-mail or fax (1800 621722) of your intention to take advantage of this offer before the term expires.

    1 You will be paying all courier and insurance charges for this offer. The projector must be returned to us (insured) in new condition with all packaging and accessories including all cables etc. Screens, special cables etc. cannot be returned unless we agree in advance.

    1 You can only use this offer once.

    1 Not available to price matched quotes the price must be our web or store price unless agreed in writing on our tax invoice.

    1 Not available for full refund, you must choose another projector. Why? We're not in the business of free rentals!

    1 In the case of Projectors with Special offers such as Screens, Audio Systems, Remote Controls etc. the extras cannot be returned with the projector and must be paid for (or us refund you) at the price on our web page that has your next choice, if they are not available as a bundle on your second choice then you pay the price listed on the products main page. For example the projector screen page.

    1 If you are choosing another model the accessories must be paid for at the price offered with the new choice. For example brand A may offer a screen for $500 but you want to change to brand B where the screen is $400 in this case you would get a $100 refund, if it were the other way around you would pay an extra $100.

    To sum up you can't pick and choose special offers as they differ from one brand to another and will be charged at the price listed with the particular brand else our normal price.

    5 hours lamp use = about 3 X DVD's this should be enough
    time for you to feel happy!

    1 We reserve the right not to offer this service if we feel the model chosen won't suite your requirements. We will inform you of this decision before processing your order and it will be noted on your invoice should you choose to proceed.

    1 On some models we will offer one alternative only, for example a LCD alternative model in place of a DLP model you've chosen whereby all other "Be Happy" conditions apply. You still pay (or have refunded) the difference in price. You are still responsible for insurance and couriers in both directions.

Be aware that we have access to the hidden service counters that show the actual lamp hours regardless of user resets.

Because we pride ourselves in providing the right information use of our "Be Happy Warranty" is rare and most often happens when people don't take heed of our advice and want to cut corners or are DLP sensitive.

*Doubles lamp warranty months to 6 months or 500 hours (most are 3 months warranty) provided the AD05 is purchased at the same time as your lamp or projector. Warranty claims subject to lamp serial number verification and projector internal (maintenance) counter verification.

1 Many lamps are warranted to 500 HRS or 90 Days.

We offer on some models a pro-rata warranty for 500-1000 hours within the first 12 months.

The working of this are that we sell a discounted lamp to you on a RRP price and pro-rata basis - if the lamp has done 600 hours then a 40% discount on a new lamp is applicable, 750 hours a 25% discount, 900 a 10% discount, and so on.

Currently only available on Sanyo Z5 models.

Dead On Arrival (A term used for goods that are faulty out of the box..)

Many times we find there is no fault, rather it's an operational or connection/operating system issue.

To insure this is not the case, it's best to deal direct with the company's support team
(I.E. Epson Canon / Xerox service).

1 If the product is faulty & within their "DOA" policy they may issue you a "RA" or Return Authorisation number (or similar docket) which you supply to us with the faulty unit & we supply you with a replacement ASAP. By talking to the manufacturer you get their experience of trouble shooting "user issues" (..plugs in the wrong way round, ink in the wrong slots, power not turned on, settings are incorrect.. etc etc.) with products they know best before we start the process of swapping goods around.

    1 Box damaged items must be reported to us as soon as they arrive.

    1 The manufacturer or their service agent carries out repairs, not AIM. If you send it direct to us without our permission and there is no fault found you will be charged an inspection fee of $59. You've paid for the manufacturer's support in the price of the product so you may as well take advantage of it. We can't possibly know every possible fault in every product but we're happy to do our best to help you sort out any teething problems.

    1 Should the item be DOA you may be asked to take it direct to a local service agent depending on how long you've had it. This policy differs from one manufacturer to another and is outside our control. If in doubt please visit their web page or call them for confirmation. We find most are fair and reasonable. We try not to deal with the others.

    1 This "DOA" policy does not cover problems that are apparent on all units of a particular model (for example a known problem that may later be fixed with a firmware upgrade).

    1 ALL DOA claims must be made within 7 days unless the manufacturers policy allows for a longer period and they are willing to provide you with an RA number or equivalent.

    1 AIM is not responsible for Courier charges to get the item to support or to us.

    1 We will pay the cost to send another to you if this is the case. All couriers should be registered and signed for.

    1 We won't see you with an expensive paper weight! When you buy from us we will be fair and abide by the applicable fair trading acts, (we often do a lot more than we legally have to..) however you need to understand we don't make the product and we need to follow certain procedures to make everyone happy. We have to claim products you return to us as credits to our company, to do this we must also follow warranty claim procedures given to us from our suppliers.

Rainbow Effect

It is possible that a DLP projector may display a "rainbow effect" under certain conditions. AIM will not accept a request for a refund in the this event. We recommend that you check the reviews and visit the manufacturer's web site to get an idea of the possibility of such effects.

    1 Ask about our change over option whereby you can swap models if your unhappy with the model purchased, terms and conditions must be agreed before your purchase and will be printed on your invoice. Charges may apply.

Dead Pixels

1 LCD monitors and LCD Projectors, DLP Projectors can have faulty or "dead" pixels. Although rare, the condition shows up as a pixel(s) on the screen that is either dark or stuck on all the time.

1 Each manufacturer has their own policy (often well hidden and like extracting teeth) on how many dead pixels needed and where they are on the display before they will repair or replace a projector/screen etc.

1 This matter must be dealt with between YOU and the manufacturer.

1 AIM will not accept returns on the basis of a to dead/stuck mirrors or pixels. Please check the manufacturers policy before purchase if this is of concern to you.

    Ask about our change over option whereby you can swap models if your unhappy with the model purchased, terms and conditions must be agreed before your purchase and will be printed on your invoice. Charges may apply.
    Here is an example from a user manual..

1 Having said that a dead pixel would be almost impossible to see under normal operating conditions, further the following view has in our opinion some merit.

The coloured picture produced by an LCD Projector is made up of 3 separate colour images (red, green and blue). Each colour image is produced by (in the case of XGA models) 786,432 individual picture elements.

Each element is individually controlled, turning on or off as required. If one of the picture elements fails to operate then a coloured element is permanenetly turned on (a "Bright" dot) or off (a "Black" dot).

With almost 2.5 million picture elements in an XGA picture, manufacturers have to decide how many broken elements to tolerate before the LCD block is considered outside specification. Mitsubishi Electric Australia's product quality acceptance standard on picture elements is:

Bright dot Red = 1, Green = 0 and Blue = 4
Black dot Red = 5, Green = 5 and Blue = 5
Picture images complying with the above test are deemed to be within operational specification.

1 Testing Projectors for dead pixels

When time permits AIM will pretest your projector (about 5-8 hours) for Dead Pixels/DOA if you don't want this done please advise us in writing in the comments section of the order or by e-mail.
In this case you will be responsible for all arrangements between you and the manufacturer to rectify such problems.


1 Lamp Warranties

Each <Projector> manufacturer has their own policy, for example "Lamp Warranty: 90 days or 500 hours, whichever comes first.." Please read the warranty conditions before you make your purchase.


1 Opened Boxes

Many produces must be opened to put the correct 240V power cord or driver CD etc. then the box is resealed.

This is out of our control. If this is a problem for you please check with us before placing your order.

If a box must be opened we may take the opportunity to put contact details inside or on the unit.


We don't charge your card if we can't supply

1 Most products are in stock at our warehouse, sometimes we and/or the importer may run out of stock of a particular item or it must be made as a special order. (For example a custom built screen size.) In this case your card is billed for goods that are placed on back order.

1 If your order is made up of several items the whole order must be charged once we deliver any part of it.

There are several reasons for this: (1) We don't order in special items then later you tell us you don't want them any more. (2) To be sure your card is capable of handling the purchase. (3) Company policy is Nothing leaves our warehouse or is put on backorder without being charged. In reality this could mean you'll get the Projector, (..we hardly ever run out we buy that many..) cables etc. while your screen is being built or we wait for the importer to deliver more stock. We try to keep enough stock of the common sizes and requested items so this is the exception rather than the rule, after all it's more work for us to ship orders in parts.

If it was simply a case of no available stock then to save time we may ship direct from the manufacturer/importer to you rather than to us then you. If you would rather we don't backorder an item please let us know by e-mail and your card will be refunded for that part of the order. You must tell us this when we inform you of the status of your order.

1 Items ordered especially for you (Custom Size Screens/Speakers/Lamps etc.) can't be canceled.

Card Surcharge

On some items we have to add a credit card surcharge. This is due to margins that are not sustainable. If you pay by DD we are not charged the merchant fee so you save even more! The fee is 1.5% for Visa & Master cards 3% AMEX & Diners other interest free store cards POA. There is a one percent insurance charge on all deliveries. Note regular clients get issued a discount code (AIM Member) that offsets some charges.


We reserve the right not to supply

On completion of your order you will receive an automated response e-mail confirming your order details. Please note that the e-mail does not constitute our acceptance of your order. We will check your order and confirm all details. We reserve the right to not accept or limit your order for any reason.

In the case of non-acceptance of all or part of your order you will be notified and your card will not be billed or refunded. This is not a common occurrence but could happen if for example we made an error in the listed price of an item or you're using an invalid credit card and/or we can't confirm your details.


We may supply a later model

1 Sometimes the model changes to a newer version before we have time to change the details on our web pages. We may in this case supply a later model if we can't supply the model you ordered.
